Truth telling, this label is the part of me I give to the world.
It's me learning and finding inspiration in life and using my hands to bring it to life.
Water majors my astrology chart; I believe I'm in love with water and that she is in love with me. To me, water represents flow, cleansing, power, softness, life, and colour. It is a sense of magic in my world.
Wet means so many things.
There's the obvious sexual and sensual side that sits at the foundation of this label by nature. There's the cultural reference from the rap world where drip and wet are analogies for fashion - most hip hop songs are poetic; a language and style that's influenced how I see the world and clothing. Music is basically my drive in life, it's the thing that pulls me forward creatively.
And then there's where I live, the coast of Australia, one of the most beautiful, constantly rainy parts of the country. That climate is woven into everything I make.
At the core of it, all I want to do with this label is make beautiful clothing for every size and every gender, pieces carefully crafted from materials that are already circulating. I want to help people understand how dangerous fast fashion is and how supporting it means supporting the downfall of our quality of life.
This career isn't easy, but it gives me so much satisfaction. It gives me purpose, and it connects me with beautiful people from all over the world. Fashion speaks many languages, it helps us understand one another, where we're from, our culture, our inner selves. I'm grateful to be part of that.

- WET LABEL & THEIR VALUES -


Wet Label will only ever create alongside honouring and caring for the Earth and all that is nature and life. We will never cause harm to any living entity, which is why our mission is to only use repurposed and natural materials.

I'd say 95% of this whole operation is pre-loved - from machinery and fabrics to my ironing board, pretty much everything was reused and circulating already.

Everything is made in house, in my studio located in Byron Bay, Australia. This minimises our footprint massively compared to nearly all labels in Australia.

Please do not be fooled - big labels that claim to be ethical are not ethical if they're buying garments made on the other side of the world from women, men and children earning less than $1 a day. Plus the environmental cost of flying materials and garments in out. A label should not call themselves ethical if that is what they support and do.

- FUCK FAST FASHION -

If you've made it this far, you probably know that fast fashion is one of the world's top three polluters. Not fashion itself, but fast fashion and dirty big companies.

Most of our major designer labels aren't helping the cause. I'd love for this label to be recognised as designer, but not at the expense of this beautiful place we call home. We - the people, the makers, the lovers and the fighters - can change how big corporations operate by choosing to spend our money in alignment with our ethical values.

Stop shopping at Kmart, Big W, Temu, Cotton On, Shein. It's a beautiful thing to buy clothing that will last a lifetime, made with love and supports local artists.

We pay our respects to the Indigenous community who were here on this land first, the original care takers of the Earth where we live and play on. We acknowledge and respect their connection to country and endeavour to continue learning their wisdom and knowledge. The land that this label creates on is the Bundjalung nation, home to the Arakwal people. Always was and always will be.

There is no pride in genocide.
